On 30 November 2024, 305 students of Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies (LPCPS), Gomti Nagar, attended the “Value Life, Drive Safe” programme organised by the news channel News Nasha at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Ardonamau, Lucknow. The students were accompanied by their NSS coordinators along with faculty members from different departments.
The programme aimed to create awareness about road safety, responsible driving and the importance of valuing human life on roads. Eminent leaders, including Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Akhilesh Yadav, addressed the audience and highlighted critical issues such as adherence to traffic rules, use of helmets and seat belts, and the need to avoid rash and drunken driving.
Students from LPCPS actively participated in the interactive sessions, asking questions and sharing their experiences related to traffic behaviour and safety measures. The dignitaries appreciated the curiosity and enthusiasm of the youth and encouraged them to act as ambassadors of road safety in society.
The visit offered meaningful experiential learning beyond the classroom and strengthened the NSS objective of socially relevant awareness activities. Overall, the event was highly informative and inspirational for the participating students and faculty members of LPCPS.
