BRIEF ABOUT THE ACTIVITY
Ms. Akanksha Rastogi, along with seven college girls, spearheaded a Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive in Fareedpur Gram Panchayat through the Village Adoption Program (VAP) on November 24, 2021. The main aim was to enhance hygiene awareness among women in the village. This initiative focused on educating and empowering village women about menstrual hygiene and the importance of using sanitary pads. Breaking taboos related to menstruation, the team distributed pads and conducted informative sessions on menstrual health and proper sanitation practices.
The active involvement of Ms. Akanksha Rastogi, VAP volunteers, along with Dr. Ashish and Mr. Chetan during the awareness drive highlighted their commitment to community welfare. The Pradhan of the village appreciated these efforts, and the drive received a positive response from the village women, emphasizing its impact on promoting health awareness.
सुश्री आकांक्षा रस्तोगी ने कॉलेज की सात लड़कियों के साथ, 24 नवंबर, 2021 को विलेज एडॉप्शन पॉलिसी (वैप) के माध्यम से फरीदपुर ग्राम पंचायत में सेनेटरी पैड वितरण अभियान का नेतृत्व किया। मुख्य उद्देश्य गांव में महिलाओं के बीच स्वच्छता जागरूकता बढ़ाना था। यह पहल ग्रामीण महिलाओं को मासिक धर्म स्वच्छता और सैनिटरी पैड के उपयोग के महत्व के बारे में शिक्षित और सशक्त बनाने पर केंद्रित थी। मासिक धर्म से संबंधित वर्जनाओं को तोड़ते हुए, टीम ने पैड वितरित किए और मासिक धर्म स्वास्थ्य और उचित स्वच्छता प्रथाओं पर जानकारीपूर्ण सत्र आयोजित किए।
जागरूकता अभियान के दौरान सुश्री आकांक्षा रस्तोगी की सक्रिय भागीदारी ने सामुदायिक कल्याण के प्रति उनकी प्रतिबद्धता को उजागर किया। गांव के प्रधान ने इन प्रयासों की सराहना की और इस अभियान को गांव की महिलाओं से सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया मिली।
